What games will you be running? I'm using the m95 as we speak for Dota 2 and such, it's prefect all around in my honest opinion. Fast reactions for counter strike and enough buttons to do what you like.

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

I have the Razer Taipan. It's a pretty decent mouse, but I have some complaints - not about the mouse, but about the software that is paired up with it (Razer Synapse 2.0).

Razer Synapse can really be a pain in the a$$ I find. Some of the issues I have dealt with, and some I am currently dealing with include:

  • Razer Synapse not detecting my mouse when I turn on my computer (it appears to be completely random, sometimes it detects it, sometimes it doesn't)
  • Razer Synapse becoming unresponsive and crashing
  • I find the overall feel of the program to be unresponsive and confusing at times
  • I've had sync issues when installing the program in multiple operating systems while dual booting
  • Linux support (however, if the macros and key bindings were recorded at a hardware level this wouldn't be an issue)

Those are most of the issues I've had with having a Razer mouse. Don't get me wrong, the actual mouse itself is great - I have no complaints about that part. But the software... Oh god the software is just terrible. If you don't mind dealing with terrible software, then get a Razer mouse. If not, then there's many other great mouse manufacturers out there such as Corsair and Logitech, to name a couple.

Hopefully my complaints about Razer Synapse will not only help you in making your decision on what mouse to buy, but others as well.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Currently, the zowie fk and deathadder both have the best optical sensors on the market. The rest is pretty much trash.

Who made that chart? That crap is too biased. "The lighter the better" is a bullshit. Acceleration and stuff - all of the people use acceleration? Oh, come on!

The ignorance is strong with this one. Optical sensors have no acceleration, laser sensors do.

Still "The lighter the better".

I agree. It's not necessarily better but you definitely don't want a super heavy mouse either.

Mouse weights are a gimmick product from logitech.

people should understand that this chart is outdated...

What other optical mice do you know of that could possibly replace the deathadder, zowie, and or the g400?

Exactly.

Nothing has changed in the past year.
