The gigabyte can OC and the Asus can't.

there's no such thing as a gaming H97 board

 

if you want to get a proper ROG board, go for that

otherwise Gigabyte has always been solid

The z97 is best for gaming in my opinion...

You can't SLI or Crossfire in a h97 platform

 

But you don't need a very expensive mobo anyway...

 

I'd get a cheaper one and invest in a better CPU/GPU configuration

i mean you do get some things, but not all the ''frills'' some people need

The H97 motherboard is even called a gamer board. It has got everything that a gamer needs, good LAN, good audio and good looks.
