I have i5-3230M and the GT 610M GPU. Is it safe to overclock the GPU and how should it be done? Would there be any tangible benefits by overclocking? If yes, would this be applied on all games?

Your GPU is akin to a turd and overclocking it would be akin to trying to polish one. As such, overclocking your GPU would be worthless.

No.. just no...

I'm assuming this is a laptop. Even if it is possible to overclock it in the bios, the gain performance would not be worth the loud fan speed your laptop would need to run at to cool it. You would probably end up overheating and possibly killing the gpu too..

You do realize he is talking about his gpu, right?

It is possible to over clock it, same as it just about any GPU, but I would only expect extra heat. The small performance you will get from such a low end GPU will make it a wasted effort.
