Movie Maker Sound Issue...

Call me what you like for using WMM, but I really like using it; It's got everything I've ever needed to edit my schtuff, so there :P

So anyway, I was importing some stuff from my HTC One Mini 2 (which I have done before without a problemo), and as soon as I loaded it inot the editing panel, it started making a sorta clicking noise in my left ear. I googled it and it seems that people with Win 8.1 (myself included) are having this problem. But Googling things didn't solve my problem, cause they dont have a solution for it. Linus Tech Tips tho...that's a whole notha story.

Some say its a Codec clash of some sort. Is that what it is? Should I downgrade the WMM version? Should I get some new software?
