For an upcoming build i have these 3 choices between monitors. There will be a 780Ti powering it. the main use will be gaming as you can see from the 144hz refresh on all 3 as well as them requiring displayport. 3D isnt that big a deal tbh:

AOC G2460Pqu

Asus VG248QE

Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU

If you have the money, definitely the Asus one. Not saying that the other 2 are bad, AOC is still a good monitor company, it's been for a long time, but I just think that the Asus monitor is superior in terms of features and just general quality..

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

thats the problem I'm having trouble justifying the extra cost of the Asus one because i havent seen any complaints in the others about build quality etc.

I checked out all 3 monitors.

I would get either the AOC or the Asus one.

The AOC monitor is very similar to the Asus monitor, from what I can see, the biggest differences are the On-screen display, and just some Nvidia technologies. The Asus monitors has some nice additional features like, for example, if you play CS 1.6 for example, you can go into the settings and choose a crosshair. That can help when you're sniping and in-game you don't have any crosshair. It's also 3D Vision ready if you have an Nvidia graphics card and you want to experience 3D gaming and it also has Nvidia Lightboost technology, which helps in making the image more clear and crisper, if you're running 3D mode, again, with an Nvidia graphics card.

Choosing between these 2 monitors I think is pretty simple. If you like those additional features on the Asus monitor and you think they're worth the higher price tag, then get that one. :)
