R9 280X is hands down the best for the money.

Get out...... just joking but just.. i cant even say anything

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

People look at the raw specs and vs them with the 280, and assume the 280 is better, the 285 has newer technology, it's a better card with higher performance.

It's $50 cheaper than the 280x but on par or even better than it in most situations.

Seems to be the benchmarks i looked at was false i apologize and after seeing the benchmarks i must say its a good card (but i would go for something with a bit more vram and a larger memory bus)

Depends on what he's running, he's upgrading to a $250 card so I'm assuming he's running a single 1080 at best. In which case the VRAM and bus will be fine, but yeah you're right anything over that and it really just isn't enough.

An AMD 280X or Nvidia GTX 760 depends whats most preffered, the 280X is a bit quicker but not that much, if you choose nvida you get shadowplay and also a more friendly UI for settings (not a big deal really) and with the AMD you get some more performance but maybe not as friendly UI and some programs, G-sync is supported bu the nvida too.

G-sync is bit out of range for a 760, isn't it?
