Replacing GPU

Go to solution Solved by Deletive,

Go into control panel, device manager. click on your video card and double click on the gtx 260 drivers and look through the menu's till you find uninstall. uninstall the drives then shut down

Pull out the other (don't be afraid to use a little wiggling and some force), put the new one in and plug in everything and boot it up, install new drivers from the websites and reboot again and you'll be good to go.

Hi i am about to buy new GPU because my old gtx 260 doesn't support directx 11. But i don't know how to replace GPU i was searching vor videos on youtube but i can't find anything else but videos showing how to put GPU in PCI slot which i already knew how to do. What i don't know is how to delete old drivers and install new ones. So can anybody please give me a link to a video that shows that or just write how to do it

Control panel -> Programs and Features -> AMD/NVIDIA driver -> Uninstall

If you're upgrading to another NVIDIA card you won't need to uninstall, just upgrade drivers
