FX 8350 , 990FX Extreme 3 Voltage.

Laurysss

So i made a thread about something similar and one guy told me about that at a certain volage my something will burn. And i cant find that thread. I want stable 4.5Ghz that means going past 1.4(1.4 isnt stable for me on 4.5Ghz). safe voltage?

CPU: AMD FX 8350 | GPU: AMD R9 270 Windforce | MOBO: ASRock 990FX Extreme 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB | Case: X Predator X1 |CPU COOLER: Hyper T4

NAZIS WILL RISE.

I think 1.4 may be a lil too much but i may be wrong. As far as i remember you can find oc guides.Let me search

Safe voltage according to AMD is 1.55volts

Realistic 24/7 use voltage should be limited to 1.50 volts with very good cooling.

On air 1.45-1.488 will be fine but may run a touch warm and loud.

Keep temps below 70C while benchmarking and you'll be fine.

70C? I thought just a regular intel user but nope ur using 8350. The max temp is ~65. Everywhere it says that.

Yup. 70C. Benchmarking or using programs like OCCT or Prime95 will put more heat into the CPU then just about any other program. It will give you a touch more headroom for voltage and core speed.

And if you want to get technical it's actually 62C for sustained 24/7 use according to AMD since they are based off of server CPUs.
