Hello, this is the first time I am writing in forum, so I'm not sure how to get started. I apologize if I write something wrong, I'm Portuguese. So here goes, I'm trying to build a gaming PC (my first one) and I'm not sure what I should buy. Wanted to spend about €2000 (if I'm not mistaken about $2500), but wanted your opinion on my choices, whether to change something or in some cases to help me pick one  :D. Thanks!

Cheaper motherboard + better GPU is the way to go.

You can go down to Msi z97 gaming 5 and buy a R9 290 instead of 280x.

You also don't need more than 8gb of RAM.

I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

ROG boards are overpriced in my opinion, a MSI or Gigabyte Gaming 5 motherboard will be enough, 8gb of ram is enough for gaming, take out the r9 280x and switch to a r9 290, consider a S340 as for the case but the only downside is that it doesn't have 5.25 drive bays, a WD Blue or Seagate Barracuda 1TB hdd will do just fine, everything else looks great.

Well you don't need a platinum psu and the c70 is a bad case. For a hdd I would go with a wd black 2tb or if thats to much a wd blue 1tb

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

My hard drive has never failed me, but I've heard people have problems with em: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

As far as the Motherboard goes, that one is extremely pricey if you're not planning anything like extreme overclocking or possibly LN2 (judging from your other components)

Also keep in mind other small accessories like thermal paste, case accsessories, and the most expensive of the bunch: Case fans

I personally wouldn't pick that case, but hey, its just my opinion

My Nighthawk MX8 is great and on sale goes for ~100$, but with youe budget, you could probably squeeze-in a Corsair RGB for the asthetics

2000$ is a huge budget compared to my other builds (1.5% higher) so be sure to spend the money carefully, you could possibly get custom watercooling w/ some cheaper components if you want. Good Luck!
