Antlion Modmic not working

The modmic has worked for me for about 2 months and it has just started to not work with windows 8.1. I do not have a soundcard and have not changed any windows settings i have tried the front and back microphone port and it does not work. What should i do to make it work again? it is the modmic 4.0 by the way.
