So I am looking for a tablet, and currently the one which looks interesting to me is the Nvidia shield. I like the looks and the specs, but I wanted to know if the game streaming feature worked with AMD Graphics cards. This may sound like a stupid question but I just wanted to know :)

I don't think it does, nvidia gamestream requires a kepler or maxwell based GPU.

You might be able to get it work with AMD cards but not without some clever tweaking or maybe with third party apps like splashtop, but even then the experience is probably not going to be the same.

This proprietary stuff is a real pain! But nonetheless, shield is still a great tablet without the game stream feature, which is what I mostly use it for. The only annoying thing is that standby time isn't as great as other tablets.

I'll see which Tablet I will buy, the Shield is still high up in the list.
