Remember the ghetto shield that Linus made? well, this is the Google glass equivalent. It uses a raspberry pi to control it all and a 3d printed frame that is used to attach the assembly to a pair of glasses. While this kind of thing is no where near practical or what a consumer would want, I think it is pretty cool. Definitely would be fun to mess around with.

Well... Google Glass isn't necessarily cheap nor accessible to everyone, however with something not as small as Google Glass I don't think there will be much uses for it. Pretty neat though.

I'll be interested in "wearables" when I get one of two things

 

A Pip Boy (with actual working geiger counter)

or google glass in the form of contact lenses with no wires.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
