Kinda embarrassing I lifted the Heatsink for proper installation

Go to solution Solved by Clyne,

Don't worry, i'd did the same thing and temps are okay, it should be good, if you see high temps then reapply thermal paste.

This is embarrassing. I lifted stock cooler since it wouldn't install correctly and gave off kinda high temps at first with installation. Lifted it, had some paste on there, still looked new and installed correctly. Temps seem fine. Mid-low 30's with a couple of programs open+tabs on Chrome and high to mid 50's when gaming. Do I order the the Artic Silver 5 kit and reapply or is it good as it is? The CPU is a G3220 with stock heatsink.

That doesn't seem too bad...

So, you lifted the heatsink after the installation and reseated it? I don't really see the problem if the temperatures are fine.

Sounds like decent temps to me, good little chip, I had a friend that got his up to 4.1 with the stock heatsink.
