Hopefully this is the right section.

So I brought my laptop over to my friends and was playing Diablo 3 with him and he was getting disconnected a lot and I never got disconnected at all, we were both wired into the router.  What do you guys think could be causing him to get disconnected all the time?

You pulling the cable ;)

just kidding

Is his ethernet adapter working all right?

And does he get disconnected when he's the only one plugged into the router?

I have no idea, how would you go about testing if the adapter is working fine?

Yes he said he gets d/c when hes by himself as well (already made sure it wasn't conflicting ip address).

uninstall and reinstall the lan drivers

also when using ethernet, tell him to disable wireless (if he has wireless) because that can be an issue sometimes
