1333MHz on a 1066MHz Mobo

Go to solution Solved by brownninja97,

It will downclock, i used my current 1866mhz g skill ares on a h61 board capped at 1333mhz, it just underclocks thats all.

Hey there,

I found a great deal on a 1333MHz DDR3 SODIMM but the machine I'm using is a 1066MHz notebook an eMachines D732Z to be exact.

Just to be sure, will the 1333MHz RAM work with my machine? I've read that it will downclock to 1066, but I'm asking just to be sure...

Thanks in advance...
