Factory Restoration

Go to solution Solved by Semper,

Make the USB drive bootable, select boot options from the post screen and select the drive, format the drive, and go from there?

I'm not entirely sure if I know what you're asking.

Hey guys, Miles here,

So as said in the title, I am looking to factory reset because well,  I feel like doing so, I love the feeling of it all being fresh and just installing the stuff I need, I have too much random crap scattered across my drives :P I know how to easily format my storage drive, but how do I in the easiest way reinstall windows on my Boot drive? I'm using a USB flash drive to install Windows 7 Home Premium. I am using a custom built PC.

Factory reset and clean install are bit different. And both can be done with Windows. Factory resetting windows means that all settings/updates and maybe software are put the way they are right after fresh install. The action is called system restore. On clean install, you format drive windows is being installed on and loose everything on it.
