This ram with the Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD (AM3+) motherboard, FX6300 processor and CM Evo 212 cooler ?

Yep. Gone are the days of having to worry about RAM compatibility. Pretty much all DDR3 RAM will work in modern DDR3 boards

I also planned on using a R7-265 but might be going with a R7-270 if that makes a difference.
