Try Open Hardware Monitor instead?

Not exactly fixing your issue, but it's an alternative which is better than HWmonitor imo.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

that i3 temp doh. from the stuff i can see im going to assume its a laptop. u might want to get a laptop cooler pad. that i3 either has a bad temp sensor or its having heating issues. 81C seems way hot for a laptop. i know laptop run hot but u never want them running hot cooler is always better. as for the hardware monitor it might be trying to save your pc. idk what the max safe temp is but im sure hwmonitor does.

Yeah that was when I was gaming on the bed, which is pretty much a worst case scenario, so I'm not worried about the temp.

The error comes up every time I open HWmonitor or a program that monitors temps like NZXT CAM. It doesn't matter what temperature the laptop at currently at, the message will just pop up when you open the program.
