I built my PC roughly one year ago today and am thinking of upgrading a few things.

My current System as it stands is this;

  • CPU                 Intel i5 4670K @ 4.6GHz
  • Motherboard  Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero
  • RAM               16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3
  • GPU                ASUS GTX 770 DCUII 2GB
  • Case               Corsair Carbide 300R (with stock fans)
  • Storage          120GB Samsung SSD (OS/Boot), Seagate 3TB Mass storage HDD
  • PSU                Corsair CX750M 750W
  • Cooling          Noctua NH-D14
I have two parts to the upgrade Cooling and GPU.

For Cooling what I plan to do is replace the D14 with a Corsair H80i or equivalent and put two Corsair SP140 red LED fans in the front of the case.

For the GPU I am thinking of adding a second GTX770.

Any suggestions as to what I should change if anything? budget is no issue

Cheers

The D14 will probably be better than the h80i

This is true but there are two reasons why I want to liquid cool

I want a cleaner interior to the case.

And the dust that accumulates in the D14's heatsink is insane (I clean it out caked with dust at least once a month)

Personally i dont like the look of 120/140 AIO but if you really want then i guess. Also the dust will accumulate in the h80i the only difference is its slightly smaller

dust will build up anyway, its not like the D14 attracts dust.

Just upgrade the  PSU and then sell the 770 for a 780ti, one single card will always be better than SLI
