I use this mouse for basic internet browsing and gaming, I know, it's wireless that's bad, I know it's trackball that makes it strange to a lot of people, but I'm used to it and it works for me.

What I have a problem with, in Skyrim and other RPG type games I like to alternate between 1st and 3rd person, and I use the scroll wheel to achieve this, but what I'm finding is, if I don't have the scroll wheel set to 1 line per tick it will scroll ALL the way out, or ALL the way in in the game.  But then when I come back and do internet browsing, usually at the same time to get Alchemy recipes and such.

Is there any way to get the mousewheel to act differently in 2 separate programs?  I use Google Chrome on Win 8.1 for the record.

Thanks in advance.

I get very precise killshots in FPS's I'm just used to the thumbball and I'm accurate as hell with it, it takes a lot of adjustment from a regular mouse, a regular mouse feels foreign to me.   I'm so paranoid they're going to take these mice off the market I bought 3 of them I haven't even opened yet.

Another reason I really like this mouse is that it's a very small footprint on your desk, it doesn't move so it doesn't need much space, just need to plant it at an angle and position most comfortable to you.

In game it's fine with one line at a time and works normal, but then when I come to Chrome I hit the scroll wheel and it's wayyy tooo slow to scroll.  Need to set it for 3 line per tick.  I guess it can't be done without going back and forth into the settings.

Unless anyone else has a suggestion other than changing mice.
