Biggest visual difference in gaming

My friend and I have started playing Borderlands 2 on our PCs, and we have both agreed that the graphics are VASTLY superior on the PC to Xbox 360 when maxed out. What other games have you guys played that have a very large improvement on PC over consoles visually?

Curious as well but I presume you mean unmodded vs modded (like Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind)

I would prefer unmodded, as I am looking to see what games visual performances are choking on consoles unmodded.

Thanks for all of those suggestions. Crysis was a given. I have not been able to see a major difference in video quality in Saints Row 4 like the day and night difference of Borderlands 2.

All games will be superior if your hardware is better than that of a console.

That's obviously not correct, if a game is ported from console and dosent have extra graphics options added for the pc version, the game might look exactly the same as console, and maybe even capped at the same fps as on the console.

but the list of games which are better looking on pc is probably like 15 pages long

Not sure about AMD but you can generally make things look better directly through Nvidias drivers. You don't get that option on consoles.

I agree with what you are trying to say, but saying "better hardware=better visuals" is just false, even what you just mentioned is software related.

there needs to be software  to take advantage of the better hardware, and sometimes there isn't, or theres barely any.

well almost any cross platform game when You compare ps3 and xbox360 versions they look way worse than pc. With the new consoles now out it's difficult to tell the difference unless You have them side by side. Mostly Anti aliasing helps a lot on pc..

You can still force more AA via driver and play it on a higher resolution.

You can modify config files, or even registry files to play at higher resolutions as well. There's always a way.
