LG has announced that a white variant of the Nexus 4 will go on sale starting today. The latest Google Nexus smartphone will initially launch in Hong Kong, with availability expanding to select markets in Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East over the next few weeks.

Aside from color, the new Nexus 4 is no different than the existing black version, featuring a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and, most importantly, a completely stock version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Pricing for the variant has not been specified, and at this point it is unknown if the device will be sold directly through the Google Play store like the black Nexus 4.

In regards to a successor to the flagship Android smartphone, The Next Web reports that the manufacturer is not currently working on a Nexus 5, but an LG spokesperson stated "that doesn't mean we would turn down the opportunity." Won Kim, Vice President of LG Mobile in Europe, also said that the company has no plans to release a device like therecently announced Samsung Galaxy S4 with stock Android, suggesting that a Nexus-like version of an existing LG handset is not in the pipeline.
