I sent my laptop to HP to re-install my OS for me, and after a week I finally got it back. However, the laptop came back with one dent near the keyboard, one on the screen, and paint is missing on the body. I contacted them and they said they would fix it. I just don't know if its even worth sending back.

Why did you buy HP.

WHY?!

High end HP is fine but otherwise should have gone Asus or something.   :P

Nah, it's understandable, but indeed not worth it.

It was an ultrabook for school, got it a year or two ago, it's quite nice.

I would have, but HP makes it where you must use the recovery discs to install the OS. I got said discs, then had to buy an external optical drive, so I did that. After acquiring everything I needed I could never get it to fully install, it would make it most of the way then quit. I forgot I put a newer wifi card in there and apparently that was messing it up. Funny thing is, they claimed it to be faulty, kept the wifi card, and now I have a worse one than what was in it.

you could have used WinSetupFromUSB and a usb drive instead of a disk and formated the drive for a fully fresh install, you can get legit win7 or 8 iso's on the web to (dunno which site ATM), what you did is not bad but it could have been much better though

also if you worried about drivers those can be easily found on the web if windows doesn't have them since their laptops have the same hardware as others

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

Asus are good, but their bloatware just annoys me very, very much for some reason. Even when I am not using any of their products (My older brother uses an Asus laptop, ridiculous amounts of bloatware).

Eh, just remove it. They all come with bloatware, every brand.

I think.

I tried the USB thing, and it would not work. I know my way around a computer, but the way HP has things set throws me off.

You paid for it, you are entitled to have a product not covered in dents. If you were the type who bought a high end CPU or GPU and then lost the silicon lottery, I would have said stop feeling like you're entitled, but this is physical damage.
