Should i wait for Skylake or go to Devil's Canyon

Maybe wait for Broadwell. Skylake is too far out.

Depends on what you've got, If you have a 2500k or 8320 or higher  wait if your most demanding task is gaming.

Broadwell, if it even gets a 5790 line.

Haswell had a "refresh", and I don't think that's normal.

It may just have a 5770k, which if so - that's what you should wait for imo

Thats clearly not skylake. And skylake is due for 2016 and nobody would hold PC upgrade 2 years....

Waiting is stupid if there is no actual promised due date.

a 4790k/4690k or whatever you need will work perfectly fine for years to come.

Whaaaaaa?

My point was that I thought Trogdor didn't know what Skylake was, as you can see in his post, he said "Assuming you mean Broadwell, I say wait for that." I thought he didn't know what Skylake was and assumed the poster meant Broadwell, so I i told him Skylake is another.

Devils Canyon are awesome processors, especially if you plan to overclock. If you have the money then I'd say go for it. If you're still saving then wait and see what developments are announced.
