Yeah

It's fine, if you can try a little bit more to fit in the R9 270X it will be perfect

You didnt really tell about the usage scenario you are planing for, but as you mentioned gaming, I reworked the partlist with mainly gaming in mind. It is all a bit more optimized towards best performance/money ratio in games.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  (£73.36 @ Amazon UK)

6 cores as opposed to 8, but is still totally surficient for single gpu gaming on aaa titles. it needs less power and therefor allows to save some money on a slightly cheaper motherboard
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  (£24.86 @ CCL Computers)

slightly cheaper, but really highly rated and well reknown cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard  (£64.90 @ CCL Computers)

970 chipset as opposed to 990FX, you can still overclock and still get all the am3+ features, it only has a slightly lower grade power delivery system, perfect for this 6 core cpu.
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  (£64.99 @ Aria PC)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£83.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£35.94 @ Aria PC)

same price as the wd green, but faster (7200 rpm) and highly rated
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card  (£225.32 @ Scan.co.uk)

waaaay faster than the 750 ti, possible because of the savings on other components
Case: Cooler Master K280 ATX Mid Tower Case  (£30.73 @ Amazon UK)

slightly cheaper case, with the same design essentials of cooler master cases
Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£43.80 @ Scan.co.uk)

cheaper than the CS550, still modular and completely surficient for this configuration
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/RSBS DVD/CD Writer  (£12.64 @ CCL Computers)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)  (£83.53 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £744.06

Hi pugh93

The WD Geen HDD that you've listed is a reliable, quiet and energy-efficient drive. However, it is recommended for secondary storage. For gaming, I'd recommend the WD Black, because of its performance. Of course, it all depends on the games you'll be playing. For less demanding games, you could find that the WD Blue is just fine. On the other hand, for high-performance computing and digital content creation and editing, you could take a look at the WD VelociRaptor

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this was helpful.
