780 vs 780ti

Go to solution Solved by abe3002,

Thanks for the help guys I went with the 780 in the end but went for the msi gaming edition version which seemed to perform better than most other 780's also If with rendering I start struggling (shouldn't do) then I might just upgrade to a 6gb version of the 780

So I will be running the 4790k with 16GB's of ram with msi's max power ac and I want to know between the 780 and the 780ti I will be using the computer for a lot of 3d rendering and modelling but will also be using it for alot of games as well but I want to know which would be better for the price

780 is better for the money, as 4-5 extra FPS in games isn't really justifiable for spending that much money extra. However, I don't know how much of a difference there is between the 780 and 780Ti when it involves 3D Rendering and Modeling, but don't those tasks mostly use the CPU, I'm most likely wrong though.

Well if you have the $ then go with a 780ti or even a titan, because the titans double persision will help with rendering
