My Finished First Overclock!

On my old desktop, I now have a laptop, I overclocked the GPU. My current laptop scores 3000+ IN 3D Mark Cloud Gate, my desktop scored around 750. After overclocking I got around 950+, about %25 performance increase. Pretty impressed, unfortunately the CPU isn't overclockable. I don't remember the exact numbers right now but it was a great experience none the less. Definitely worth an hour of my time and the experience earned.

 

Do you guys remember your first overclock? Did it go well? Did you get a good performance improvement?

My first OC was upping the FSB to 101MHz. It was good because ai actually did it. Reverted it back but I just wanted to do that :P.

My first OC was on a 2.8GHz Precott Pentium 4 that was Hyper-Threaded and was socket 478. After pushing crazy amounts of voltage through it I was able to hit close to 3.8GHz but I killed the motherboard and CPU in the process. Totally worth it since they were already on their way out.
