You will need to OC the FX-6300 to be able to keep it for future upgrades/current CPU demanding games.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

@Archangel1994 he needs an OS though...

Maybe a downgrade to the 750/750Ti/285? They'll be able to perform admirably if he lowers the settings a bit...

OP

Do you need a Monitor, peripherals, OS, etc? If so what resolution do you want to run at, and do you have any preferences? If no what resolution does your monitor run at?

His previous posts mentioned that he had 650-700 for hardware so I didn't include it on purpose.

will the AMD FX-6300 3.5Ghz be able to handle the next gen games or do I need to spend mainly on mid end, high end GPU AND CPU to be able to play for about 2 years without upgrading it again

With Archangel1994s build you should be fine for a while, though you probably won't be playing on high settings.

Still should be a good bump up from Console though :P

will I be able to play a resolution that looks good 780p?without dropping the FPS below 50 with gigabyte radeon r9 280 3gb GPU or do I need a higher card like lolbry9 suggested with radeon r9 290 and geforce GTX 770 twin frozr

The 280 should be good for most games at 1080p, though I'm not sure about the 50FPS on max. settings. Maybe if you went on Medium you would be fine

On 720p it should be able to play any game over 50fps.

lolbry9's build uses cheap cases+PSUs, which isn't usually recommended since a bad PSU could kill your entire system. - Archangel has a great build, go with that instead.
