BitFenix teases new case

As has gradually become a popular marketing tactic, BitFenix has started drip-feeding fans of their products odd-angle and cropped out-of-focus pictures of their next grand design on Facebook.

Fans are expecting a micro ATX Prodigy to be around the corner, but the above pictures hint at a redesigned Shinobi-esque case with perforated front. Who knows? We will no doubt get further pictures before Computex, where BitFenix have said they have a big announcement. For BitFenix fans, exciting times ahead! Yay!  :wub:

Two new pictures, and if our resident BitFenix spokesperson is to be believed (you should) we're not looking at one, not two, but three different cases. Supposedly the three first pictures in this thread belong to the same case, while the remaining two are single shots of two different cases!

Pictures like these always look cool, I guess that's the point :lol:. It does seem like they're going to be using lots of metal though, that I like :). They have already stated they won't be releasing a larger prodigy though, so this is either a new Shinobi or a completely new case.

Also, what's the source, just the Facebook page?

Update: BitFenix are not showing an mATX Prodigy at Computex, so this is definitely a different case.

Hopefully it'll be an update to the Shinobi case :) I love how it looks but it definitely needs an update.

 

I agree, the Shinobi is awesome and if these pictures are from a "new" Shinobi it'll be even better!

That would be nice seeing as they don't have an M-ATX only case yet.

Looks really nice! Hope it will be an update to the shinobi since I personally dislike the front panel covering the fans and only using the side mesh strips for air to go in.

If this turns out to be a kick ass MiniITX even sweeter than the Prodigy I will rage. Rage.

I would love a mATX Prodigy. I wouldn't even hesitate to pre-order it despite not having hardware to stuff in such a small form factor (yet)

I think it's a door + handle. It's the BitFenix R4... :P

 

Look at what the plastic is reflecting... Fluorescent lighting. Thus, the image is both tilted 90 degrees and taken top down (unless they flipped the case itself)

That is very likely going to be a silenced case.

EDIT: It could also be the back top. Which, looking at the corner of the side panel is likely. Which means some very odd handles...

That looks like the door of the case, taken from top right-ish direction and rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Considering how i'm planning my next build to be M-ATX i really hope this would be an m-atx case as well, opens up more options for me :D

Hmm. I think we're looking at two different products here. Image number 1 and 3 are the same, Images 2 and 4 (in order of appearance) are the same.

Well that definitely confirms that we are looking at 2 different cases. One of them looks awesome and the other looks tacky.

i think that the pictures are good, and that this is an effective strategy as it generates quite a bit of hype for a product.

as for the pictures, they look like they could be part of separate products, and to tell the truth, if it was, i dont think that they would intentionally make them look different unless they were completely 100% different and had no choice.

 

so while you can speculate that they plan to announce 2 different products, there is still a large possibility that it could just be 1 product.

 

take what i say with a grain of salt as its just my opinion and thoughts on the approach bitfenix is taking.

 

However i am quite excited to see what they release (even if theres a strong chance i wont acquire this product. but we will see!)

Nah they are too stylistically separate, and BitFenix has never put 2 logos on the same product before. The first and last images in this thread are front panels for two different cases, I 100% guarantee that, or I will give up my status as BitFenix know-it-all!
