Countries like america and the uk idolise there military, america more so. and yet when teenagers and such play games where they are essentially playing as a soldier, they (Various adults/media) consider it mindless violence (some are but some aren't). It seems a weird disconnect to have, soldiers and the military are great, playing as a soldier in a video game is bad and harms my child/society. Of which harmful effects are not proven and regularly the opposite is proven. And yet the real life issues of soldiers coming home with ptsd is seemingly ignored.

random muse over, think i could have probably worded it better but oh well.

*cough cough* Spec Ops: The Line *cough cough* haven't actually played it but people say it's stuff like that *cough cough*

Seriously though, people wouldn't really buy a PTSD simulator because it would be too depressing which was the reason why I uninstalled Metro 2033. Also the UK and US idolize their military because it keeps everyone happy, soldiers included. Meanwhile, your parents wouldn't want to endorse video games that try to emulate real-life warzones while also providing arcadey gameplay because war isn't really arcadey.

In the UK we don't really idolise the military, I don't, no one I know does and with the budget cuts the government doesn't appear to either.

A JRPG just wouldn't be a JRPG if it didn't end with teenagers using the power of friendship to kill God.

We have no carriers, but we can share the French one. Remember when we used to be a naval power?
