Okay, So I just built a budget PC with some parts crappy, And some very nice.

I'm using an old PSU from 1 or 2 years ago (500w)

Plus only 2 pins on the heatsink mount are working and are pinned in.

So I'm just wondering whats the worst that can happen, Because I'm a little nervous to see if it turns on lol

Somebody reply with some tips, I'll post updates about the startup when somebody replies.

Don't turn on your computer or else it will burn out your processor. Before taking any other steps get a WORKING heatsink for your processor, you can buy a nice one for around $15 USD online. And could you tell me what the brand/model of the power supply is?

My PC:

CPU: Xeon E3 1230 V3(Haswell) @ 3.7GHz Motherboard: AsRock B85M-ITX RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP Blue @ 1600MHz Storage: Intel 520 Series 120(Boot), Seagate Barracuda 500GB @ 7200RPM, Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB @ 5400RPM GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 @ 1.4GHz Case: Node 304 Power Supply: CX430

The heat sink works fine, Its just the pins that dont work, The pc is laying on its side.

And does it matter if theres a fan attached to the heat sink? Because the fans that are next to it is pretty close

YES YES IT MATTERS. And the heatsink needs to have pressure onto the CPU so it can make sufficient contact. Did you apply thermal compound?
