GFX Card Ideas?

Hey guys, I have a reference GTX 770 right now and I need something a bit more powerful for not only gaming, but 3D Cinema 4D rendering, as well as Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. The games I play are Battlefield 3&4, Crysis 3 and Fifa 14. (All at 1080p BTW)

 

So I want something that should last for the next 3-4 generations and that will provide me with enough power for all of my needs as the 770 just doesn't cut it. I was looking towards the R9 290x however I have always had problems with AMD cards with my past 7970 and 7950 cards. So I am turned towards the monstrous GTX 780 which seems to be the best idea.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good card?

 

My budget is £425

Wait for the GTX 800 series to come out then get one of the higher end cards in that line, or a 780 or two when a ton of people are selling theirs to hop into the 800 line.

It might be worth the wait for the 800 series to release to see what they can do.

 

Other than that the 780 is the best bang for the buck from nvidia that's better than the 770. You might want to pick up two of them if you can render on both of them.

Please wait for the next generation coming next month, you will just hate yourself if you buy a new gpu now. Either way you are gonna need to save some money, as the 900 series is coming soon it would be naughty of you to get a 700 series card or an amd one.

I would get the r9 290, I wouldn't wait for the 800 or 900 series because we don't know when it will get released despite the rumours which are just rumours.
