press power button twice?!?

Hello,

So just recently I have upgraded my computer and only just a few days ago my computer started to not power on when I press the power button. But will power on when I press the button for the second time, I know this is a little issue but to me it is annoying and I am stuck I have checked if all the cables and plugged in correctly. I have even ran stress tests on my computer and still can't work it out.

 

I just want to know if any one has a idea on what it could be, I would be very thankful.

Maybe the board simply has a delay. Maybe you press the power button, and it powers on 5 seconds later, and you press the power butoon again at the 5 second mark.

Make sure that this isn't your issue, I have a PC that has a delay. When I press the power button it takes a few seconds to even turn on the fans and LEDs.

I have pressed the power button and waited a minute to see if it does anything, just the lights and the fans come on for a second and then they power off it has only been happening for the past 4 days. Normally it just starts up right away. (but thank you)

what mobo are you using?

 

PSU model?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Mine is like that too. Sometimes it doesn't register my press. I think my button might be broken.
