Does The Smart Watch Really work?

Alright so I am thinking about getting a new phone in the future and was looking at the sony smartwatch since I want the Sony Xperia Z2 phone....or do they not even make one.

Are they worth the price tho? $150 bucks?

I like the sony one cause it gives a professional vibe which I need in my job...being that its silver.

Yeah but... what do smartwatches even do? All I see myself using them for is to change songs and play/pause music. Notifications aren't that useful to me if I can't reply from the watch, if I wanted to check the time I can just pull out my phone for a few secs, smartwatch apps aren't that useful on that tiny screen, etc.

I find sony's smartwatch hard to use. and prefer Google Wear  over it.

i mean you can reply to texts, answer calls, notifications, and there are apps fore them, music, things like that, just make sure to check for it on youtube before buying

<_<  not really sure that jusities 150 dollars tho. I have a bluetooth for calls so thats out (it has to be handsfree since I am driving and holding your wrist up doesn't seem right..plus it has to connect to 2 different phones at once)...checking time would be the big thing and also its waterproof which would help since I'm in the elements all the time...I need the time for filling out paperwork at every stop and when you have about 50 stops a day give or take pulling out your phone becomes quiet annoying. However I'm not really sure I want something analog either...preferably digital that looks professional. Music would be nice however I don't have a hook up in my current work car which is why I have a mp3 disc loaded into it.

 

What would you recommend for my current phone? HTC Desire (old I know but its one of the best phones I've ever had).

The OG Desire I think the only good smartwatch that would work for it would be the Pebble
