Underclocking ASUS 750ti STRIX ? Help!

Im running Asus 780ti as my main gpu and Asus 750ti STRIX basicly just to run a monitor and do physx work.

 

The 750ti STRIX' fan is supposed to not spin when idle(65C degree) but it still spins up when playing simple games like CoD. (it actualy spins up at 50C, idk whats up with that)

 

UPDATE: I downloaded the driver gpu tweaker thing and i tried to put every slider on minimum and tell the gpu never to spin the fan but its bugging out setting memory clock mhz back to default and starting the fan again when i click apply? same happens when i click save

 

The reason i got the strix was because i wanted a silent gpu to run my monitor on so having the fans spin so easily... meh.

I haven't been able to look at the software yet. But from what i remember you should be able to underclock it.

It's the marketing, not much you can do about it apart from change the fan curve but even then there will be a minimum fan speed you can set if you make a curve (unless you modify the BIOS (which can break your GPU if not done correctly)). If you want a truly passive GPU the only recent passive GPU's I know of are 270x (or lower) and gtx 680. They are all made by this chinese (?) brand that I forgot the name of (so you should look it up if you're interested).

A diff gpu is no option. i bought this because my build is asus /red theme and this one made sense. its obvious that its possible to tell the fan to not spin but my teweaker program is bugged or something and wont save the settings
