I have an ASRock Motherboard with 3 x PCIe 2.0 x16, 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 Slots. One x16 slot is used for GPU. But while assembly I accidentally removed the slot cover of my case at the top which points to a x1 slot. Now it appears as a gap and empty place there. I want aomething to buy in order to use that slot. I alreasy have WiFi modem. So can I get a bluetooth adapter to use there or something else. Actually what is it used for ? Or if nothing is found can I get something like a cover to close it again ? Thanks.

couldnt you just pop the slot cover back into place?

If not, don't worry it's really no big deal to have an open unused slot, those covers won't serve any purpose but to prevent dust  but don't worry just one opened won't change anything..

Its one time use covers and I can't put them back. I have CM Elite 431 Plus case. My problem is that it looks awkward through the side panel.

that's unfortunate...do you still have the cover you could try to figure a way to re-attach it somehow? (glue, soldering...)

can get expansion slot cover... pack of 5 is like 2.5£ here, check ebay or something, can spray paint it after to whatever color you like too.if you really want a card in there which will serve some purpose, search what is available at stores that deliver to you....
