Spend a little bit more than that for http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga990fxaud3 . This board is solid and 990FX.

I wouldn't go 970 when going 8320 and above. I definitely recommend 990FX when going 8320 and upwards.

 

Edit: Then again the MSI 970 Gaming looks solid as well.

At under a hundred your options for "high end" CPUs get pretty slim.

You shouldn't skimp on the motherboard same for the PSU really.

I like to spend at least $150 on a good solid motherboard.

Now that's a but too much IMO as well really :P. $100-150 gets you a good mobo though there are exceptions such as the MSI Z97 PC MATE (That thing is amazing).

I'm gonna be the first to say it... but have you thought about buying a 4690K + Z97 PC Mate instead?
