VPN's?

Looking for a good VPN, one with experience someone can give me feedback on, what have we got? Also does it make my internet any slower? I mean going through 2 different networks would increase the ping, no?

Personally, I use PrivateInternetAccess always if I'm not at home, they are great.

 

They do decrease your speed and do give you a higher ping, but that is with every VPN.

I have a OVH VPS in France that I have VPN on.

This is that reason download times are unbearable? I love the serves just the download speeds suck.  I have to get off my VPN just to download a file. Is there a fix to that?

I still get 120Mbps down (190Mbps without VPN), don't think that it's that slow.

You can try using a browser extension if you want to unblock sites, switch your location AND keep download files from your original internet connection. Since browser extensions only impact browser's traffic, you can still do both these things at the same time without having to switch off.

What do you mean about unblock sites? What browser extension do you recommend?

 

Also, should I turn off my VPN while downloading large files (if that's what you mean)? It is also slow when I turn the VPN into the same region (It shows the VPN service is in the same state I'm in...Hell a server not too far from me).
