Hey guys, I am switching from a Naga Epic which i just hate now. My fingers have out grown it and i have also kinda out grown the style. I don't game too much, but i do use high DPI (at least 3200 at all times). I also hold my mice with my middle finger on the scroll wheel, with my pinky and thumb gripping the mouse. I find this more comfortable when doing work. I like the feel of the Taipan, but I just hate razer synapse. I uninstalled it and don't use any of the built in macros anymore. I also have fairly big hands, 7 1/2 inches from tip to base, so that should be a factor. I sorta like the g502, but it just has too much going on for me. If they had the solid metal scroll wheel, with hyper scroll, and only 2 other buttons (for 40$) it would be perfect! help me out plz ^^

Look at corsair, steelseries, or logitech. They all have options that would work.

If your work includes lots of precise clicking across the screen or even worse across multiple screens just know that fast movement and slow movement it wont actually move as you want it to, such as the pointer going further or shorter than you planned.

Oh... I do stuff in Maya a lot and that requires me to click very small vertices and joints. Not for me then?

What about the Logitech G502 Proteus Core?

Too busy for me. It is also a little thin for me so i would have to spend 20$ extra for some sugru. That would make it feel better, but look like trash. basically I don't want to spend 100$ on a mouse ever again.

its what you get with laser, mouse acceleration, tho since you used a naga you wont notice a difference i guess..

no your stupidity and lack of any experience... just because YOU cant feel a difference and notice anything doesnt mean everyone is had dead, i can feel and notice the problems with my optical sensor, and that is WAY WAY smaller than any shitty laser sensor..

this stupidity of, "I dont notice it so it doesnt exist" is pissing me off...

I actually have a pretty nice optical mouse (friend gave it to me), it's just i can't notice a difference in cursor movement. The acceleration is barely noticeable and it MIGHT keep you from getting a headshot at a quick 180, but if that little bit of acceleration stopped you from getting the headshot you probably aren't that good to begin with. The reason why i don't use it for work is because its middle click is broken and i need that

first, make sure you have mouse acceleration turned off in windows, then download this Mousefix  http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/763/cpl-mouse-fix/

seeing as its a quite big difference between not using mousefix for windows things and actually using it, even my friend who didnt care finally got it and was quite happy he could now draw much better lines in Photoshop with his wacom, due to windows even with it "turned off" still had things turned on...
