so i wanna know if the 290 is worth the time/money/heat/noise over a 770. im not gonna lie here, ive always looked to the nvidia side of things first (i just kinda prefer them) and i dont feel as if the 290 is needed for 1080p :S so yeh halp me here :P the 770 is going to be paired with a 4690k so i dont know if the 290 is needed even if it is only slightly higher in cost

I think the 770 (the 290 isn't worth it at 1080p).

probs wont be for another year at least, tbh i dont see why people consider 1080p kinda mediocre. i fucking love my single 1080 panel. WHEN I DO upgrade to 1440 (god knows if i even will) then ill slap another 770 in there or by then get a new gpu. idk, i cant see that far into the future, i dont even know what im gonna have for breakfast when i wake up tomorrow morning

i would think at the moment, if you are going only 1080p, the 770 is a little better because the 290 has some features that a 1080p panel can't use like the 2000000000 gb vram,
