Watercooling ideas
Hey there,
I will be getting the H440 case and the H220X AIO to cool my CPU, but I thought a lot about expanding it too and put my 780 under water too, as the cooler is quite louder than I was used to. I thought about adding a 360mm rad into the front of the case, but as a watercooling noob I have a few questions.
1, The pump should be plenty strong, but how about the reservoir/liquid amount? Will that be enough?
2, What tubing, fittings and rad should I go for? I should also note I'm going for a mainly white color scheme.
Watercooling is really rare where I live, and I only know one good shop where they have this stuff:
360mm rads: http://www.tichepc.sk/Vodne-chladenie/Radiatory/Radiatory-3x120mm/c001013004008.html
Fittings: http://www.tichepc.sk/Vodne-chladenie/Fitingy-Fittings-/c001013005.html?pg=16
Tubing: http://www.tichepc.sk/Vodne-chladenie/Hadice/c001013008.html
For the block I would go with a full cover EK block for the reference 780, but I don't really understand the fitting/tubing part and don't know what exact rad to go for, so I need help with that.
Ask if you need any more info and thanks!
1. I'm sure the pump can handle another GPU block and a 360 Rad. I recommend this one: http://www.tichepc.sk/Alphacool-NexXxoS-XT45-Full-Copper-360mm.html?arg1=001013004008 , the res on the H220-X has a fill port. You'll need more liquid when expanding. I think the simplest solution would be to empty the old stuff and put distilled water with a liquid biocide.
2. For the tubing, go for Primochill Advanced LRT white http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17895/ex-tub-1628/PrimoChill_PrimoFlex_Advanced_LRT_Tubing_38ID_x_58_OD_-_10ft_Retail_Pack_-_Elegant_White_PFLEXA10-58-W_w_Free_Sys_Prep.html. I've read that the H220-X doesn't yet have adapters to go to 1/2 ID 3/4 OD so you're better off sticking to the original 3/8 ID 5/8 OD (10mm ID 16mm OD). Your compression fittings will have to be of the same size. Good brands for the fittings: Bitspower, Monsoon, Koolance, EK.
BTW, that site you're using seems to be pretty well stocked on everything you need for water cooling. It's just a bit hard for me because my Google Translate isn't working
