My current build is as follows:

CPU: AMD x4 750k

GPU: Sapphire Dual-X R9 270

RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu Red 1600mhz 8gb (2x4)

PSU: Corsair Carbide 200r

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb 7200rpm

CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster 212 Hyper Evo

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H

Case: Corsair Carbide 200r

As you can probably tell this was fairly low budget build. Around Christmas I plan on upgrading the cpu, motherboard, and the case (upgrading the gpu isn't really an option :( )

I intend to get the AMD FX-8350 (or 8320, depends on the prices around the time of purchase) and the Gigabyte Ga-990FXA-UD3. My real problem is deciding the case.

At the moment it seems to be between:

-NZXT H440 (red/black)

-Phanteks Enthoo Pro

-Corsair Air 540

At first I was all about the H440, but now I have come to hate the matte black finish and there is also the airflow problem.

The only drawback I had with the Enthoo Pro was that it is a Full Tower and me being the noob that I am took that to mean "GIANT CASE". But after checking the dimensions of both cases, the H440 is larger.

I'm open to suggestions for all my upgrades. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Also if I have posted this in the wrong place I am very sorry, I am quite new here.

For case it's usually about user's preference first and foremost, then other stuff like noise canceling foam etc. I think the H440 is nice, I dont like the look of the 540 very much. Phanteks is ok but I'm kinda skeptical about that small triangle window on the panel since it will show the HDD which I'm not really sure if I want to see or not...

Roughly $400

For your second question, everything I currently have works fine. The cpu is a little out dated and I'd like to upgrade it but in doing so I would also need to upgrade the motherboard as there is nothing else that really catches my eye on the fm2+ socket.
