4690 or 4690k ~ Do i overclock?

Was building new PC and was wondering if its worth that extra money to OC my CPU.

I wont be upgrading for the next 4 years (any parts most likely) and was wondering if i should spend an extra $130 to OC my CPU

4690k + Asus z97-A + CM 212 evo = 506

4690 + h97-plus = 374

Im mostly using this computer to play games and to do schoolwork (i would like to play games and run other programs such as movies, browsing at the same time)

Worth the extra money ?

At a later time in the future, you may regret not having the OC feature that you want, so it would be worth the money and you can OC in the future to compete those PC at that time.

If you're those people that doesn't OC like me, then save that 10 bucks.

But even if you don't OC. You should spend that 10 extra bucks anyways. You'll never know if one day you might want to OC.

Unless you want to have some fun OCing the CPU based on what you are using it for it really isn't worth it.

You mean electric bills? Because the CPUs are literally 10 bucks apart.

it would be more future proof because you can oc it to compete with the future gen gaming or PC

Here in Australia the price difference for CPU is $50 and the mobo difference (h97 vs z97) is $60 not to mention the needed CPU cooler if i decide to OC

Spend the money, I am hating myself right now since I bought the 3770 when it came out and not the 3770k...
