PC budget fails

Cokeman

So I came across a guy who spent 2 grand on a mini tower PC for his girlfriend and he only got a GTX 760.  https://pcpartpicker.com/b/csccCJ  I facepalmed so hard. Great looking build and nice of him to do that, but 99% of people who spend $2,000 on a PC get a R9 290X or a GTX 780 ti. So have you seen any builds where someone has spent a ton of money for not all that great of a build.

Why would anyone do this? Just get a full damn rig. I'm pissed at my mid tower case for being so small and I'm thinking of going full tower!

An AMD 290x or at least a 280x would have been nice
