So I upgraded my computer with a ga-z87x-ud3h and i5 4690K from whats in my current sig.

The mobo was factory refurbed from ebay and i know it had worked because i had the seller update the bios.

Anyways i was almost done installing windows and the comp just shuts off completely, no beebs or error codes. So i thought maybe my win7 installer was corrupt so i sat in the bios and got distracted and then the comp shuts off again.

So wtf, i tried installing windows again, after a few attempts i got it working and was watching my temps with cam, the cpu was anywhere from 30-40C which is normal. And then it shuts off again. I turn it on, mess with the bios, loading defaults and changing settings, etc etc. Nothing helped. Now its to the point that its just in a bootloop.

Wondering through some forums for answers i came across an old post about compatible PSUs for haswell. So i did some digging and got to oczs old site and it says my psu is haswell ready, but my cpu is a haswell refresh so could it still be compatible?

Ive already tried unplugging all the hdds, all the front io cables, any and all unnecessary things and still no luck:c

The cpu is new from amazon aswell

So you suspect the PSU is completely dead? Do you have another to try with? Even if it's a cheap one, just don't connect the GPU when doing this.

no im not completely sure, its either the mobo, psu, or cpu >,<

You could also take it to a pc store and have them check it, shouldn't cost a lot

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC
