So I'm getting a gaming mouse and I can't decide between the Corsair M45 and M65 (as you can probably tell I'm a bit of a corsair fanboy). I will 100% not make much use of the 8100(?) dpi in the m65 and in my opinion the m45 seems absolutely perfect for what I need. But the fact that there is only $5-$10 in the difference, should I just get the m65 for the build quality and just turn down the dpi?

Furthermore, basically everything I have is red-red/black. If it is the case that I go with the m65 should I just pay around $10 more for the new rgb version?

Any response would be greatly appreciated! :D

atleast the m45 has a optical sensor so its not complete shit, but i would go for the G400s or something else, hard to find good mice... im getting rid of my Mionix 7000 Avior since the optical sensor isnt good enough :P  gonna be trying out the G400s once it arrives.

but to answer you question atleast the m45 is your only option, and no one should ever run at any dpi over 3k.. not sure how anyone runs that either tho..  well i play CS go now at 800 dpi and 0.8 sense so like 400 dpi and 1.6 sense

Ditch any option that has a laser sensor. I got an optical mouse (G502) and it is sooooo much better then my old laser mouse. I highly recommend Logitech's Gaming Mice.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

do you use raw input? i use 2400dpi at 2.0 with raw input, 800dpi@0.8 is incredible low

the m45 is lighter but the chassis is worse and not at sexy and don't worry about the sensor you won't notice a difference

raw input, i use mousefix that truly removed mouse acceleration and before yesterday(white its exactly the same with 800 0.8 sense) i used 400 1.6 sense, this is quite normal for CS go when you have a bigger mouse pad, tho exact sense differs from person to person and with size of mousepad, resolution of monitor and what they like, such as going for headshots or spraying more.

but its not really that low, i do a 180 with a single stroke and thats a good baseline

This vid is for CS go, but it might help anyhow, not sure

btw i notice the slight bad read of my Mionix 7000 Aviors optical sensor, so who knows he might notice the HUGE difference between laser and optical :P

guess it might be normal for a big mousepad but if you only use your wrist like me it's horrible
