Question about old graphics card from damaged computer

So I'm in the process of buying all the parts for my new computer and had a question about my old gpu

My old computer was ruined from my nephew spilling a soda and leaking through my fans all over my moterboard, processor, RAM, etc. and everything seems to have been damaged except the graphics card, and my question is that when i build my pc in order to try and save some money and the build if i could see if my graphics card is ruined or not, I have no other way to test it as i have no other available computer using my phone to post this, but I'm hesitant because I've never had this issue so if i buy all my new parts and build my computer then try to use my graphics I don't know if it'll will cause any problems or ruining anything else on my motherboard from shorting or not since I don't know if it's damaged
