I am looking for some advice on what I should do.

Currently I have the most basic 2011 macbook pro 13 inch.post-121421-0-66427900-1408563289.png

I am looking at basically 3 choices:

1. Upgrade my current macbook pro with ram and a new ssd possibly new battery. (estimated cost- $500)

2. Buy the highest end macbook pro retina 15 inch for use at college in 1-2 years (estimated cost $2500) could get better and less expensive in the future post-121421-0-83421300-1408564271.png

3. Buy a gaming PC. (estimated cost $1000)

4. Buy a console- probably PS4 (estimated cost $700- games, controllers and basic setup)

I could do 1 and 3 together but my 2011 macbook pro would have to last me 5 more years

I could do 2 and 4 but the games would be more expensive and limited selection

Gaming PC Info-

1. Budget & Location

Under $1000 dollars for everything

US

2. Aim

Triple A games on high settings at around 45-60 FPS (No need for ultra)

play all the indie games I like to play now no problem

RELIABLE- it is just going to work

Be long lasting- doesn't have to be latest tech but should last for at least a few years without need of upgrading

Be able to support a second monitor for multitasking usage- not necessarily 2 dual monitor gaming

Be able to use for youtube video editing and video storage- I would still like to have an ssd though- maybe hybrid system

3. Monitors

Start off with one 2560 x 1080 monitor. Eventually be able to support 2 monitors for multitasking

4. Peripherals

Would need gaming keyboard, gamepad and the one 2560 x 1080 monitor.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Refer to beginning question on what I should do.

Need computer for college

Want gaming system

Thanks any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
