GTX 760 Issue

Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

Ok so you think it will be worth it to just go ahead and buy it? Probably his fault you mean? Lol

first off

I dont know why your friend thinks he can run a GTX760 on such an old board

second is the board only has one PCI-E x16 slot

no way he can run multi GPU setups

Hello, I have a friend who has two ASUS GTX 760s that both are not detected in any way by the bios he says. He plans to sell them very cheap, however he said if I want them I can basically get them free (like $60 for both :P). Do you think I would be able to fix this issue if I got them from him? I know, I'm not giving any info but I just want to know if it is something that can be fixed.

what mobo hes got?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

If your friend is local go and check the cards out and see if you know what is wrong with them. If you know what is wrong then don't tell him and buy them, profit.

Well when he says BIOS I assume he means in Windows as well, cause if it detected in Windows I'm sure the card would work then.

Yeah, not local in a neighbor state so not really convenient. Also, I plan to buy them if I can fix them  B)

that is pretty weird

did he even plug his GPU power in?

also certain mobos are not SLi certified

so SLi GPU will not work

we need to know the mobo hes using

I'm sure the power was plugged in, also I do not think they were tested in SLi but separately. I will try and find out the mobo.

Edit: Got some pics for now. Does not to appear to be any damage outside so definitely either internal card issue or just his PCs issue.

sometimes the PCIe x16 is disabled by the bios (is rare, but try check that just in case friend, and enabled)

APU = A10
