iPad mini digitizer adhesive problem...

Hey guys, I recently repaired the digitizer on my iPad mini and everything is working great apart from one side won't stick down properly and it's also causing the home button to be a bit flimsy. Is there any tips to get it to stick down better? There is 3M adhesive strips underneath it but obviously they are not doing their job. I was thinking super glue but don't want to risk damage to the screen or never getting it off again if needing replaced. My 2nd thought was reheating the strips with a heat gun and placing a weight on top of the screen to see if the adhesive will re-set and take hold? Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. :D
